Badshah’s ‘Tateeree’ Row: Haryana Police Delete 857 Links, Crack Down On YouTube Videos And Instagram Reels

Rapper Badshah’s controversial song Tateeree has landed in deeper trouble as Haryana Police intensified its crackdown on the track across digital platforms. Acting on complaints and legal directives, authorities have so far ensured the removal of a massive 857 links linked to the song, including 154 YouTube videos and 703 Instagram reels.

The action comes after an FIR was registered on March 6 in Panchkula, where the song was accused of containing objectionable lyrics and visuals. Officials stated that the crackdown is being carried out in coordination with social media platforms, following due legal procedures. Notices have been issued to ensure that all versions of the song — including re-uploads, short clips, and reels — are taken down completely.

Haryana Police have made it clear that they are adopting a zero-tolerance approach toward content that is deemed derogatory, particularly anything that affects the dignity of women and minors. Senior officials emphasised that monitoring of digital platforms has been strengthened, and strict action will continue against violators.

In addition, authorities have warned social media users against sharing or creating content using the controversial track. They cautioned that those found engaging in such activities could face legal consequences, including account suspension and further penalties.

The controversy around Tateeree has sparked widespread debate, with multiple agencies stepping in to examine the song’s content. Even as the crackdown continues, the case remains under investigation, and police are actively identifying individuals and handles involved in circulating the track online.
